Who will it be next year?!?!?!

RULES
1) Family must be preregistered before 5 pm on the Friday of the fair. Registration is free for a family. To register contact Angela Johnston at almjohnston@gmail.com or phone 705-377-7960. Download the registration form here. Registration must include all family members that will be taking part in events throughout the weekend to a maximum of 20 people.
2) A “Family” can consist of family members of all ages - moms, dads, children, sisters, brothers, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandkids, cousins - BUT all family member names must be on list of family names at time of registration to take part in an activity.
3) All rules of activities must be followed.
4) All team members must have a wrist band.
5) Family points will be accumulated in the fair office off over the course of the weekend and displayed. The winning team will be announced after the entertainment on Sunday afternoon at the main stage area, at approx. 3:00 pm.
6) The winning family will get their name on a trophy to be kept at the fair from year to year and bragging rights for the upcoming year.

ACTIVITIES AND POINTS:

Friday August 18th – PIE EATING CONTEST
Points: 3pts for entering, 5pts - 3rd place, 8pts - 2nd place, 10pts - 1st place
Only one Family Member may be registered for this event and space is limited. Register before Thursday, August 17th with Chrissy Wilson or Dawn Dawson. No late entries will be accepted for this event due to the fact that we will not have enough pies!

Saturday August 19th – PARADE ENTRY (float, bike, horse or group walking)
Points: 3pts for entering, 5pts - 3rd place, 8pts - 2nd place, 10pts - 1st place
The family must register their parade entry with Bev McDermid (mcdermid@amtelecom.net or 705-377-4668) before Saturday morning.

Saturday August 19th – FAMILY TUG-O-WAR – After kids games at the ball diamond (approximately 3 pm).
Rules: 6 adult family members maximum on team (if numbers allow, a kids pull will be added)
Points: 2pts entry, 4pts per single tug win

Saturday August 19th – FAMILY RELAY RACE – Following the Tug-o-War at the ball diamond
Rules: A relay obstacle course will be set up. Four members of your family will have to manoeuvre through the obstacle course against another family.
Points: 2pts entry, 4pts for a win, 6pts for best time overall

Saturday August 19th - MANITOULIN’S GOT TALENT
Points: 10pts for entering, 10pts if picked ‘Fan Favourite’
The family member must register with Karlene Scott (karlene.scott@live.com or 705-377-5283) before noon on Saturday.

Sunday August 20th – PAPER BOAT RACE, 11:30 am at the livestock area
This event is for the younger members of the family!
Rules: One boat per family. Bring from home a family boat made using only paper and tape. The constructed boat will sail across a trench using a straw to blow it across.
Points: 3pts for entering, 5pts for a win, 2pts best decorated

Sunday August 20th – ROUND BALE PUSH, 2:30pm; centre field behind back stop
Family members must push a round bale to a predetermined point and back. Only two family members may be pushing at a time but two others may spare off
Points: 3pts for entering, 5pts - 3rd place, 8pts - 2nd place, 10pts - 1st place

All Weekend - SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE
Take a picture of family members with the “Farmer & Winning Pig” or the “Rollercoaster Family” Photo Board located by livestock stalls. Photo must be used on a social media site such as Instagram or Facebook with #providencebayfair and #familyfun2017
Points: 3pts, 10pts if over 30 likes.
